When Your Legal Battle cont.

Family related disputes involve nuclear, extended and global relations—and emotions.  When money is only a part of the dispute, and ongoing relationships are required, it’s a family fight.  Our Civil Courts are not designed to resolve family fights.  Our judicial system is adversarial.  For the system to work well, we must work against each other.  When a broken family is placed into an adversarial system the dividing lines are often set in stone –solidifying the conflict, rather than resolving it.

Mediation allows us to work for the win-win solution instead of the win-lose result.
The most effective solutions to our problems are found within us, not on the judge’s desk.  A skilled mediator will help each party explore their own position and help opposing sides better understand the positions of others.

Mediation is never a waste of time. Even if the mediation does not result in a final solution, the litigation process is shorter and less expensive after an effective mediation session.  This is because the lawyers leave with a better understanding of their opponents’ case and the mediation has given voice to some of the tensions between the parties.

When your legal battle is breaking your heart:  your family, your church, your workplace, your business ~ you should try mediation.
